S.A.M. VINTAGE COMMITTEES

You may think old and slow when you think vintage, but that's not the case! S.A.M.'s Vintage Program is growing and expanding, and your assistance is needed. We're looking for volunteers to help run our vintage program. Please review the positions below and use the application form to sign up for one of these positions.

Vintage Sub Committee Positions:

Vintage Event Coordinator/s: This position will be held in order to coordinate and work with Vintage Committee members, SAM Exec board and clubs on multiple vintage events happening in the state and surrounding states. This position will be responsible for informing clubs of all ready known events happening in order to keep events from overlapping on the same day. Also this position will need to work closely with the Vintage Publication Coordinator/Editor in order to post the Vintage Events to the public.

Vintage Judging Coordinator/s: This position will be held in order to coordinate and work with Vintage Committee members and clubs that are looking to judge vintage machines. This person will work in order to uniform all the judged shows in Massachusetts. Such as class lists, forms, and working closely with the Judges training Coordinator/s for same judging ethnics. This position will provide and assist the proper forms needed to help the clubs host a smooth and well run judged show.

Vintage Show Judges Training Coordinator/s: This position will work closely with the clubs and there judges that will be judging the clubs shows. This position is very important in order to have all the people judging at Mass shows to all be judging the same. This will make a more uniformed judging platform across the state thus making it fair for all participates showing vintage sleds.

Vintage Sanctioned Ride Coordinator/s: This position will work closely with the Vintage Committee members, SAM Exec board and the local clubs of Massachusetts regarding the applications / coordinating and voting of the clubs that get picked in order to host the vintage rides. This person will also be responsible detailing the requirements for the rides and getting this info out to the hosting clubs in order to have the rides run smoothly with the state and local authorities.

Vintage Racing Coordinator/s: This position will work closely with the Vintage Committee members, SAM Exec board and the local clubs of Massachusetts regarding any speed events. SAM DOES NOT support Speed Events however this position will work closely with the clubs in Massachusetts to point the clubs wishing to host these events in the right direction. Directions such as proper insurance needed, permits if any needed, assist in proper area lay out specs (per insurance regulations under ISR) This position will be created to control and assist hosting clubs the proper unified information on speed events.

Vintage Publication Coordinator/Editor: This position will be held in order to coordinate and work with Vintage Committee members, SAM magazine editor and local clubs in order to get information on vintage events out to the public. This person will also be the focus point for any articles that are submitted by club members for either SAM’s web site or magazine. This position will be working closely with other public sources such as The Winning Edge, VCSA and other vintage groups in order to promote the vintage events in Massachusetts within a professional manner.
