The Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts (SAM) and the Mass Vintage Snowmobile Club have awarded Vintage Snowmobile Rides to three clubs for 2016. The events have become extremely popular, allowing SAM members to ride their vintage sleds in a parade-like atmosphere, reliving the past. Even if you don’t own a vintage machine, just watching the old iron-dogs going down the trail is a sight to behold. Everyone is welcome to participate.
1254 Main Rd, Savoy. 25-mile ride starts at 10am, registration at 9.
Kringle Candle, Rte 5, Bernardston. 25-mile ride starts at 10am, registration at 9.
Chilson’s Pond, 80 Tilda Hill Rd, Florida. 20-mile ride starts at 10am, registration at 9.
Vintage sleds must display a Mass Snowmobile Registration. Special vintage registrations are available via the registry. Vintage sleds do not need to display SAM decal for these three special events. However, you need to provide a current pink SAM trail pass slip (from another sled) as proof of membership. Don’t worry if you don’t have one, memberships will be available at events.
