WEST SPRINGFIELD — One snowmobile from each of the fifty years the Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts (SAM) has been in existence—this is how SAM will celebrate their 50th anniversary. Presented at their Sled Expo on Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17 at the Young Building on the Eastern States Exposition grounds, they will also showcase an unusual historical replica—a cable car that carried snowmobiles across the Cold River on one of the trails connecting Charlemont, Rowe, Hawley, Heath and Florida.

The association’s annual event is the largest gathering of snowmobilers in Southern New England and a snowmobile show with great deals, a huge selection and incredible savings. Those interested in riding Massachusetts trails this season can take this opportunity to speak directly to various snowmobile clubs from around the Commonwealth and buy a 2019–20 trail pass for the 2,100 plus miles of ever-expanding and interconnected trails here.

The Sled Expo offers safety courses for snowmobiling in Vermont and New Hampshire, games for the kids, and a drawing for a Blizzard 4-place snowmobile trailer and other cash prizes. See new and used snowmobiles, ATVs, and power sport toys. Manufacturers and dealers will be showing the latest parts and accessories for safe sledding such as LED lighting to help be seen on the trail. And to be sure to be seen in the best light, boots, helmets, jackets, bibs, gloves and clothing, as well as studs, skis, and trailers will be available for purchase. Travel planners will also be ready to assist with hotel reservations, trail permits, and maps. And representatives will be on hand from New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Massachusetts to help plan a snowmobile adventure.

Expo-goers can pay for one admission and gain access to two shows with dual admission to the Sled Expo and the Old Deerfield Holiday Sampler Craft Fair. Visit www.sledmass.com for more information.

SAM is a long-time champion of snowmobiling in Massachusetts. An all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, they are 31 clubs strong that pool their resources to develop and maintain the snowmobile trail system that supports groomed trails from Worcester County to the Berkshires. SAM also has an impact on the Commonwealth, generating economic value through snowmobile purchase and registration, clothing and gear purchase, hotel reservations, travel, and dining.

SHOW HOURS: Saturday, November 16, 9am–8pm; Sunday, November 17, 9am–3pm
LOCATION: Young Building, Eastern States Exposition, West Springfield, Massachusetts
