Boulevard Machine & Gear: Friend of SAM

Boulevard Machine & Gear has generously supported Knox Trail Sno-Riders monetarily, by way of purchasing raffle tickets and making groomer donations. They joined the club at our Annual Raffle in December to celebrate the season and partake in the festivies.

When Susan Kasa, owner of Boulevard Machine & Gear, learned the club was building new bridges and repairing existing ones they donated key materials from their shop. It was just what the club needed for repairing the decking of the bridges. Not only did they donate the material but they shipped it to the location. One of the crates was so large the club was able to create a storage building out of it. It’s used to house a groomer in the off season.

There are times when the Knox Trail Sno-Riders required specialty fabricated parts for the groomers. Not only did they opened their personal residence to aide in the cause, they designed and created the parts we needed for our Thiokol. They have been generous with their time and material. They have done all of this and ask nothing in return.

There are no words that can thank them enough for the support they have provided. They do so much for the Club and they don’t even snowmobile! They are amazing people and we appreciate all they do for us. Their website reads, “We believe the heart of our business is our people”

Nominated by Knox Trail Sno-Riders, the 2015 Friend of SAM Award was presented to Susan Kasa owner of Boulevard Machine & Gear.

NOMINATION DETAILS
Boulevard Machine & Gear, 785 Page Boulevard, Springfield MA., was established in 1954, is owned and operated by Susan Kasa. The company is a full service machine shop. They believe in their employees and the quality of their work. As their website states, “We believe the heart of our business is our people.”

Fundraising:
We here at the Knox Trail SnoRiders have had the benefit of their beliefs. The Kasa family has generously supported the Club monetarily, by way of purchasing our raffle tickets and making groomer donations. They joined us at our Annual Raffle in December to celebrate the season and partake in the festivies.

Support of Snowmobiling:
When the Kasa’s learned the Club was building new bridges and doing repairs to some existing one they sent word to us that they had some material they were willing to donate to assist us. The material ended up being the shipping crates and containers they use at their shop. The material was just what we needed for repairing the decking of the bridges. Not only did they donate the material but they shipped it to our location. One of the crates was so large we were able to create a storage building out of it. Currently, this is where we house the Bombi in the off season.

Promoting Club Membership:
There are times where we require specialty fabricated parts for our snowmobile groomers. When we were refurbishing the Thiokol groomer they opened their personal residence to aide in the cause. Mr. Kasa personally designed and created the parts we needed for the Thiokol. They have been generous with their time and material. They have done all of this and ask nothing in return.

There are no words that can THANK them enough for the support they have provided. All they do for the Club and they don’t even snowmobile. They are amazing people and we appreciate all they do for us.
