2023 Winter Carnival

February 5 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Hey fellow vintage sledders,

A few years ago the Greenfield Winter Carnival group asked for a vintage snowmobile exhibition. It has turned into an event where we also give rides in tow behind or on the sleds when snow permits it. This is a no cost, low key, family friendly event! The Greenfield Recreation Department provides People’s Choice trophies and the event provides great publicity for our sport. Many people still don’t know about a sport that happens right in their own area, across the state.

Hearing other sledder memories, giving rides to people who have never been on a sled (because of lack of access or physical handicaps never thought it would be possible) or giving someone sadly their last ride. This is a great chance to encourage others to appreciate and become involved in the sport.

Some of the activities at the winter carnival event include music, cardboard sled race, food, K9 sled pull and we are planning to have horse drawn sleigh/carriage rides for the family!

To be considerate of local horses and dogs we ask that you please try to bring sleds without really loud pipes.

Thanks in advance and please pass this information along!
