Update: Lavallee did record a world record of 361 feet in practice before his off. Check out the video at the bottom of this post. We reported in November that seven-time Winter X Games medalist and champion snocross racer Levi LaVallee was going to attempt a record-breaking 300-foot snowmobile jump on new Year’s Eve. Sports Illustrated reports that he was injured during a 100 MPH practice run a few weeks ago, suffering broke ribs, a cracked pelvis and a collapsed lung. Unfortunately, the double-back-flipping LaVallee won’t even be able to take part in the X Games this January either. We wish him a speedy recovery and a safe 2011.
