The state passed new legislation that requires three inch registration numbers on snowmobiles starting in February. SAM opposed this legislation but it still managed to pass. We understand the state is currently working on a plan to implement the new rule and to supply snowmobilers with the needed registration materials. We have heard rumblings that a decal like that used in New Hampshire is being considered but that is only a rumor and can’t be confirmed. As soon as an announcement is made by the state we will post it on sledmass.com. Until then, make sure that your sled is legally registered and you have a SAM decal.
