It is that time of year when our snowmobile season starts to wind down. We all have had a busy one trying to keep what snow we were given and repairing trails as necessary

I know of clubs that have held events or assisted with events that benefitted others. SAM needs to collect all this data by March 21 so we can compile the numbers and get it into the National Charity Chair so she can put the numbers together to share with the International community.

Last year only 11 out of 33 clubs reported charity work.

I know all the clubs have put time in with their trails that is not reimbursed by SAM. Remember, the state does not reimburse SAM for trail maintenance or grooming, we are 100% volunteer funded.

These hours count towards charity work. You do not need to have exact dates and times, or how many people volunteered. Estimates are fine.

National, state and local governments need to be aware of what we do, and there is no better way than to show them we are a charitable group of people who do many things for others. If you have any questions contact Marcia, I would love to hear what types of things you’ve done.

Again please take the time to fill out the online Charity Report, it will only take a minute.
