Although Al Joy Tire and Arctic Cat are located in Connecticut they have long been a big supporter of the Knox Trail Sno-Riders in Massachusetts. The Club often calls the dealership looking for parts, advice or technical information for their groomer fleet. Help is always offered.

The dealership sells SAM trail passes and is an advertising sponsor of the Knox website and map. Every year, for the past 20 years, Al Joy Tire and Arctic Cat have generously donated to the Club. They work hard helping make the club’s annual raffle successful. In addition to promoting and selling the raffle tickets, they personally purchase tickets and attend the raffle dinner.

The support of the club has been long and generous.

Al Joy Tire and Arctic Cat

Alfred Gioia Sr. started Al Joy Tire in 1961 as a part time business. His wife Amelia joined him in the business keeping the books. In 1970 Alfred Gioia Jr. increased the business and opened it full time. In addition, to selling tires they sell and service Arctic Cat snowmobiles. They started selling snowmobiles in 1969 but didn’t become an official Arctic Cat dealer until 1975. They have a long history with Arctic Cat sleds which includes sponsoring Kerry Lynn at the grass drags at Senna in Worthington, MA.

The business has been passed on to the second generation brothers, Al and Tommy. Tommy is the
master mechanic who will service your sled. He is amazing when it comes to fixing and repairing Arctic Cats. Al can be found behind the counter ordering and tracking down parts, answering the phone and selling the sleds. As the third generation is now old enough to join the business, Tommy’s son Michael is working with his dad servicing sleds.

The Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts is proud to present the 2016 Dealer of the Year award to Al Joy Tire and Arctic Cat.
